SABATON have announced rescheduled dates for their "Legends On Tour" North American run, which was postponed earlier in February to allow bassist Par Sundstrom sufficient time to recover from inflammation in his arms — a condition that made it impossible for him to perform at the level the band demands. The Swedish power metal titans, known for their historically-themed anthems and spectacular live productions, have now finalized the new routing with several notable changes.
The rescheduled tour adds Orlando, Florida to the routing, responding to fan demand from the Sunshine State market, and includes a second show in Winnipeg, Canada after the first date sold out almost immediately — a testament to SABATON's remarkable growth in the North American market over the past several years. However, dates in Tampa, Greensboro, and Pittsburgh have been cancelled entirely, with the band citing logistical and scheduling constraints that prevented those venues from accommodating the new dates.
POP EVIL and WINGS OF STEEL remain as support acts for the rescheduled run, providing a diverse bill that spans from SABATON's bombastic power metal through POP EVIL's hard rock to WINGS OF STEEL's classic metal approach. The combination has been praised as a fan-friendly package that offers something for every taste within the broader heavy music spectrum.
SABATON apologized directly to fans in the cancelled cities and encouraged them to attend neighboring dates where possible. All previously purchased tickets will be honored at the rescheduled venues, with refunds available for those unable to attend the new dates. Sundstrom's health update has been positive, with the bassist reportedly making steady progress in his recovery. The band emphasized that they would rather postpone than deliver performances that don't meet their own exacting standards.
