ANTHRAX drummer CHARLIE BENANTE has confirmed that the band's long-awaited follow-up to 2016's For All Kings has been pushed back to September 2026, with the first single and accompanying video arriving in May. It will mark a full decade between studio albums for one of the Big Four of American thrash metal.

"The record is not coming out till September. We pushed it back a little bit," BENANTE told Blabbermouth. "The first song and video will be out in May — we wanted to make sure it was the right moment to put it out."

The still-untitled album was recorded and mixed at DAVE GROHL's Studio 606 in Northridge, California, with producer JAY RUSTON returning — he also helmed For All Kings and 2011's Worship Music. Bassist FRANK BELLO offered an early impression: "It's so heavy. Some parts are really hard to play. JOEY's vocals — I don't understand how the guy could still sing like that, but he is absolutely killing it."

The record contains no cover songs. The cover artwork was designed in collaboration with artist MARK STUTZMAN. North American release will be handled by Megaforce Records, with Nuclear Blast covering the rest of the world. An extensive global touring campaign is planned to follow the release, with the band expected to appear at multiple major European festivals this summer.
