Canadian metal veterans KITTIE have announced an 18-date U.S. headline tour running from June 6 through June 27, 2026, with support from KINGDOM OF GIANTS and GORE. The tour continues the remarkable comeback that has seen one of heavy metal's most groundbreaking acts return to the stage with renewed energy and purpose after years away from the spotlight.
Fronted by Morgan Lander on vocals and guitar, with her sister Mercedes Lander on drums, KITTIE burst onto the metal scene in 1999 as teenagers and quickly established themselves as one of the very few all-female metal bands to achieve mainstream success. Their debut album "Spit" went gold in the United States, and tracks like "Brackish" became MTV staples at a time when the channel still defined musical culture. The band's subsequent releases — including "Oracle," "Until the End," and "In the Black" — solidified their reputation as a formidable heavy act that refused to be defined by novelty.
The comeback was significantly fueled by the critically acclaimed documentary "Origins/Evolutions," released in 2024, which chronicled the band's turbulent journey through the music industry and reignited widespread interest in their legacy. The film's raw honesty about the challenges faced by women in metal resonated deeply with both longtime fans and a new generation discovering the band for the first time.
Tickets go on general sale March 6, with a fan presale beginning March 4. Morgan Lander commented on the announcement: "Every time we step on stage now, it feels like we're proving something — not to the doubters, but to ourselves. KITTIE has always been about resilience, and this tour is the next chapter of that story. We cannot wait to bring this energy to 18 cities across America."
