LAMB OF GOD officially kicked off their Into Oblivion US headline tour on March 17. The band opened to a sold-out crowd with a setlist drawing heavily from the new album while featuring highlights from across their catalogue, including material from Ashes of the Wake, Sacrament, and Wrath. Support slots from Kublai Khan TX, Fit for an Autopsy, and SANGUISUGABOGG set a suitably intense tone throughout the evening.
The tour represents LAMB OF GOD's most extensive North American headline run in years and coincides with the band at arguably their highest commercial and critical profile since the early 2010s. Randy Blythe's stage presence — notorious for its raw physicality and confrontational energy — was reported to be in exceptional form for the opening night.
