Seattle heavy metal institution METAL CHURCH formally unveiled their dramatically overhauled lineup in mid-March, announcing that new album Dead to Rights (due April 10 via Rat Pak Records) would mark the debut of three new members: vocalist BRIAN ALLEN (formerly of Flotsam and Jetsam), bassist DAVID ELLEFSON (MEGADETH co-founder), and drummer KEN MARY (Alice Cooper, Fifth Angel). The trio joins founding guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof and longtime axeman Rick Van Zandt.
The sweeping lineup change replaces vocalist Marc Lopes, bassist Steve Unger, and drummer Stet Howland. Vanderhoof produced Dead to Rights, with Zeuss handling mixing and mastering at Planet Z Studios. The announcement drew particular attention due to Ellefson's involvement — the bassist has been rebuilding his professional profile following his departure from MEGADETH in 2021.
The lead single "F.A.F.O." was released in November 2025, with the follow-up single "Brainwash Game" receiving additional promotion in mid-March. METAL CHURCH plan extensive touring in support of the album throughout 2026.
