MYRATH Release Seventh Album 'Wilderness of Mirrors' Featuring Elize Ryd

MYRATH have released their seventh studio album, Wilderness of Mirrors, through earMUSIC. The ten-track record continues the Tunisian band's singular blend of Middle Eastern musical tradition with European progressive power metal, a combination that has made them one of the most distinctive voices in the genre.

The album's most immediate talking point is "Until the End," a duet featuring Elize Ryd of Swedish melodic metal act AMARANTHE. The pairing proves complementary: Ryd's crystalline pop-metal voice contrasts with vocalist Zaher Zorgati's richly textured delivery, and the song stands as one of Wilderness of Mirrors' most accessible moments without sacrificing the cultural specificity that makes MYRATH remarkable.

Throughout the record, the band balances cinematic orchestration and traditional North African scales against high-energy guitar work and complex rhythmic arrangements. Tracks like "Desert Fire" and "Mirrors Within Mirrors" push furthest into progressive territory, featuring time signature shifts and multi-part structures that reward repeated listening.

MYRATH, formed in Tunis in 2001, have gradually built one of the most devoted fanbases in European power metal, despite recording and touring from a country with no established metal infrastructure. Wilderness of Mirrors consolidates that reputation and positions them as one of the most credible crossover acts between world music and heavy metal.

The album is available in standard and deluxe editions, the latter including bonus tracks and an extended booklet.
