NIGHTWISH have announced a second pressing of their "Decades" vinyl box set following the rapid sell-out of both the initial pressing (10,000 copies) and a first repress (5,000 copies) within 72 hours of each going on sale. The second pressing, limited to 8,000 copies globally, will be available for pre-order from March 20 with an estimated shipping date of July 2026, via Nuclear Blast Records.
The "Decades" box set, a ten-disc career retrospective covering the Finnish symphonic metal band's thirty-year history, includes newly remastered versions of the band's greatest songs across all eras — from the Tarja Turunen era classics like "Sleeping Sun" and "Wishmaster," through the Anette Olzon period including "Storytime" and "Ghost River," to the Floor Jansen era highlights including "Élan," "Noise," and the extraordinary "Our Decades in the Sun." The package also includes two discs of rarities, b-sides, and live recordings never previously available on vinyl.
Vocalist Floor Jansen expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response in a video statement, noting that the demand reflects "how deeply NIGHTWISH's music means to people across generations." The box set was originally released in 2018 on CD and has been repeatedly requested in vinyl format by the band's fanbase. The second pressing will be available in the same configuration as the first — a clamshell box with a 60-page hardcover book featuring new photography and essays — but will feature a previously unreleased alternate artwork option designed by longtime NIGHTWISH artist Peque Vargas.
