The annual Shamrock Slaughter death and extreme metal festival descended on Piere's Entertainment Center and Stan's Room in Fort Wayne, Indiana on March 13 and 14, delivering one of the Midwest's heaviest weekends of the year. The two-stage, two-day event featured 28 bands, headlined by New York death metal institution INCANTATION and Columbus death-grind rising stars SANGUISUGABOGG.
The festival, which has operated since the mid-2010s, has grown into a key regional showcase for established and emerging voices in extreme metal, with a particular emphasis on old-school and underground death metal. This year's edition drew attendance from across the Great Lakes region and beyond.
