SLIPKNOT have announced a lavish 6th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of their critically acclaimed 2019 album "We Are Not Your Kind," set for release on August 9, 2026 via Roadrunner Records. The album, which marked a significant artistic evolution for the Des Moines masked metal institution, debuted at number one in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and eleven other countries upon its original release — becoming their most successful album from a chart perspective and earning widespread acclaim for its experimental textures and emotional depth.

The deluxe edition is a substantial package that includes: the original album newly remastered at Sterling Sound in New York by Ted Jensen; a second disc of B-sides and unreleased studio tracks recorded during the "We Are Not Your Kind" sessions, including the previously shelved full-band version of "Critical Darling" and a studio recording of "Nero Forte" featuring original guitarist Paul Gray's keyboard arrangement; a 3D holographic lenticular art card; an expanded 60-page book featuring behind-the-scenes photography from the recording sessions and tour; and a recreation of the iconic blank face mask that appeared on the album's original artwork. The package also includes a download code for a previously unreleased 2019 Chicago concert recording.

Frontman Corey Taylor issued a statement calling the album "a turning point for us as a band and as individuals — we were going through genuinely dark times personally, and that darkness became a kind of cathartic fuel for the record." The anniversary release comes as SLIPKNOT prepare for the extensive summer 2026 touring cycle, with the band confirmed as headliners for multiple major festivals across Europe and North America. Pre-orders open March 15 via the band's official store.
