Sweden Rock Festival has unveiled 21 new acts for its 2026 edition, scheduled for June 3-6 in the coastal town of Solvesborg, Sweden. Among the most prominent additions are American metalcore titans TRIVIUM, German power metal legends HELLOWEEN, British heavy metal stalwarts SAXON, and Swedish progressive metal outfit EVERGREY — a lineup announcement that further solidifies the festival's reputation as one of Europe's premier destinations for heavy music.
TRIVIUM's addition is particularly significant, as the Matt Heafy-fronted band has been on a remarkable creative hot streak in recent years and remains one of the most reliable live acts in modern metal. HELLOWEEN, meanwhile, continue to ride the momentum of their blockbuster 2021 reunion album and the subsequent "United Alive" world tour, which saw original vocalists Michael Kiske and Kai Hansen performing alongside current frontman Andi Deris in a once-unthinkable triple-vocalist formation.
SAXON's confirmation brings one of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal's most enduring acts to the bill, with Biff Byford and company representing over four decades of uncompromising heavy metal. EVERGREY's inclusion adds a hometown hero element, as the Gothenburg-based progressive metal band have become one of Sweden's most acclaimed exports in the genre.
The 21-act announcement brings the total confirmed lineup to over 60 artists across the festival's four days and multiple stages. Sweden Rock Festival has historically attracted approximately 33,000 attendees annually, with lineups that span the full spectrum of hard rock and heavy metal. Previous editions have featured headliners including IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, DEF LEPPARD, and SCORPIONS. Four-day passes are still available through the festival's official website.
