Polish death metal institution VADER have officially announced their sixteenth studio album, titled "Solitude in Madness II," set for release on August 21, 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records. The album, a direct conceptual sequel to their 2020 release "Solitude in Madness," marks a deliberate departure from VADER's usual practice of each album standing independently — frontman Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek explained in the announcement that the original "Solitude in Madness" was conceived during a period of global isolation that he felt required a continuation rather than a conclusion.

"The world we were processing in 2020 has not resolved itself — if anything, it has become more fragmented, more violent, more isolated," Peter wrote in the press release. "'Solitude in Madness II' is the next chapter of that reckoning. We had more to say, and VADER has always been a band that says exactly what it means." The album was recorded at Hertz Studio in Białystok — VADER's longtime recording home — with producers Sławomir and Wojciech Wiesławski, who have overseen much of the band's late-career output.

The album features ten tracks with an average running time of approximately four and a half minutes — concise even by VADER's already economical standards — with an emphasis on the tight, surgically precise death metal that has made the band one of the most consistent acts in the genre for four decades. Lead guitarist Spider (Marek Pajak) has described the guitar work as "the most intense and technically refined of our career," while drummer James Stewart has delivered what he calls "the fastest and most precise performance I've given on a VADER record." The lead single will be released on April 18.
