Swedish death metal veterans VOMITORY have announced their new full-length album In Death Throes, due April 10, 2026 via Metal Blade Records, accompanied by the release of lead single "For Gore and Country." The track is immediately characteristic: bulldozing d-beat driven death metal with the unambiguous directness that has defined the band across their three-decade career.
"In Death Throes picks up where All Heads Are Gonna Roll left off, but we've turned the intensity up a notch," drummer TOBIAS GUSTAFSSON said. "Every song is meant to hit like a hammer."
The album was mixed and mastered by LAWRENCE MACKRORY at Rorysound Studios in Uppsala — whose credits include PARADISE LOST, BLOODBATH, and LIK — while the artwork was handled by GIANNIS NAKOS of Remedy Art Design (EVERGREY, SUFFOCATION, THE CROWN). Ten tracks: "Rapture In Rupture," "For Gore And Country," "Forever Scorned," "Wrath Unbound," "In Death Throes," "Cataclysmic Fleshfront," "Two And A Half Men," "Erased In Red," "The Zombie War General," and "Oblivion Protocol."
VOMITORY formed in Karlstad, Sweden in 1989, released eight albums through 2011, then disbanded. They reformed in 2022 and made an emphatic comeback with All Heads Are Gonna Roll in 2023. In Death Throes signals not a revival but a band operating at full and undiminished force.
