ARMORED SAINT have released their new single "Hit A Moonshot" alongside an official music video. The track is lifted from the band's upcoming ninth full-length, Emotion Factory Reset, due May 22nd via Metal Blade Records.
A hard-driving heavy metal cut, the song borrows a baseball term for a towering home run. Vocalist John Bush draws a parallel between sports and entertainment: "Some people just get lucky. Landing on your feet is commendable. So I'm busting balls, but I'm also giving accolades." The track carries a ferocious riff, scorching leads, and a huge chorus built on Queen and Sweet-inspired backing vocals.
Bassist Joey Vera traces the intro riff to a garage band memory from Los Angeles at age 17. Guitarist Jeff Duncan handled rhythm guitars with a Les Paul through an EVH amp. Emotion Factory Reset was produced by Vera and mixed by Jay Ruston (ANTHRAX, STONE SOUR). The video was directed by My Good Eye: Music Visuals.
