CROWBAR's Kirk Windstein Eyes New Album — Co-Headline Tour With EYEHATEGOD Nearly Sold Out

CROWBAR frontman Kirk Windstein has confirmed that new music is on the horizon for the New Orleans sludge metal institution, though the band's relentless touring schedule has kept them out of the studio longer than expected.

Speaking in a new interview, Windstein addressed the status of a follow-up to 2022's Zero and Below (MNRK Heavy): "We're anxious to get to work on some new music, but things are going really well right now and tour offers keep popping up."

That momentum is clearly real. The band's streaming profile has surged dramatically: Spotify is at 1.2 million monthly listeners, and TikTok is growing by nearly a thousand followers a day.

Windstein hinted that 2027 may finally bring a studio window: "We might take a little bit of a break next year to concentrate on recording and writing, because it's been a while. And the touring, as you get older, gets a little tougher."

In the meantime, CROWBAR are currently tearing through a co-headline spring tour with fellow New Orleans sludge legends EYEHATEGOD, and it has nearly sold out: "About 25 of the 30 shows are sold out. So pretty much they will all be sold out or very close to it."

For those who have not caught CROWBAR live in recent years, this run is not to be missed.
