Two members of the legendary BLACK SABBATH rhythm section will reunite — at least in the same convention hall — when bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward appear at Monsterpalooza 2026 at the Pasadena Convention Center in California.
The event, one of America's premier horror and pop culture conventions, runs May 29-31, 2026. Butler and Ward will be on hand for May 30-31 only, participating in professional photo operations at $130 per ticket. Both have stipulated they will not do table selfies — photos are taken under professional lighting and printed on-site within a minute.
Also appearing across the weekend: horror rock legend Alice Cooper and SLIPKNOT vocalist Corey Taylor, who performs May 30-31. The combination of metal royalty and horror-adjacent talent makes the event a natural draw for the BLACK SABBATH faithful.
Butler and Ward have maintained relatively low public profiles since SABBATH's farewell shows. Ward notably did not participate in the band's 2012 reunion or the final The End tour in 2016-2017. His appearance alongside Butler will be a rare opportunity for fans to meet both musicians in person.
Monsterpalooza admission tickets are sold separately from photo ops via Eventbrite. Group packages allowing up to two adults and three children under 15 per photo are available.
