Buffalo, NY black metal veterans HUBRIS have released their debut full-length Acts of Sedition, out now on all major streaming platforms.
The quartet — founding brothers Hellskald and Lichfiend, alongside Melkorpse, with drummer Deragore joining in 2010 — has been tearing up the Buffalo underground since 2008, delivering a punishing hybrid of black and death metal that has leveled stages from Shadow Woods Metal Fest IV to tours across the Eastern US.
Acts of Sedition runs 54 minutes of blast beats, razor-sharp riffs, and venomous vocals. Tracking began across multiple states in late 2022; mastering wrapped in 2025. Lead single "Lightless Lantern" drew praise from No Clean Singing as "a destructive warzone of bloodthirsty delirium."
