Vancouver's HYPERSPACE METAL FEST has revealed the complete lineup for its seventh edition, taking place April 16-18 across two venues: The Cobalt (April 16-17) and the iconic Rickshaw Theatre (April 18). The event's organizers have announced that following this year's run, the festival will go on indefinite hiatus — making the 2026 edition especially significant for the Canadian metal community.
The three-night event is headlined by power metal legends SANCTUARY, who will perform their classic 1990 album Into the Mirror Black in its entirety as a Canadian exclusive on the festival's final night. EDGE OF PARADISE headline the second night of symphonic and melodic power metal, while ATAVISTIA lead the opening night with a focus on melodic death metal.
Additional acts include VOIDCHASER, OWLBEAR, ARTIFICIAL LANGUAGE, RAVENSUN, HYPERSTRIKE, WITCH KILLER, OPHELIA FALLING, LYCANTHRO, THORSGUARD, and VALLEY OF DESPAIR. Into the Mirror Black — featuring early contributions from musicians who would later form NEVERMORE — is widely regarded as one of the finest progressive/power metal albums ever recorded, making SANCTUARY's full performance one of the most anticipated sets of the spring metal calendar.
