INFERI Announce New Album 'Heaven Wept' — Technical Death Metal Refined, Out April 10 via The Artisan Era

Nashville technical death metal outfit INFERI are releasing their sixth studio album, Heaven Wept, on April 10, 2026 via The Artisan Era.

The eight-track record features vocalist Stevie Boiser and guitarist Malcolm Pugh, with guest appearances from Sanjay Kumar of WORMHOLE and EQUIPOISE. Kumar contributed to multiple tracks, adding another layer of technical depth to INFERI's signature blend of blistering precision and symphonic atmosphere — choir stings and orchestral strings appear sparingly but effectively throughout.

The album represents a compositional step forward. Critics who've heard it note that individual songs are more distinctly memorable than on previous INFERI releases — a notable achievement in a genre notorious for homogeneity. Tracks like the opener 'The Rapture of Dead Light', 'Master of Nothing', and the title track 'Heaven Wept' each carve their own identity within the record's relentless technical framework.

The album balances extreme speed with occasional groove and dynamic shifts, avoiding the flat-line approach that hampers many tech-death records. The production is dense and battle-scarred, matching the music's confrontational intensity.

Heaven Wept is the band's first full-length since their lineup rebuild and represents their most fully realized work to date. It is available for pre-order now via The Artisan Era ahead of its April 10 release.
