LITA FORD has confirmed her long-awaited new studio album — the follow-up to 2012's Living Like A Runaway — is complete and set for release this fall. Speaking on SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk," Ford shared details of the record, including some notable collaborations.

"I did a really killer duet with German metal singer DORO PESCH. It's great. She nailed it, and the song is fantastic. So I'm excited for everybody to hear that," Ford said. She also recorded a track with singer/songwriter Jean Beauvoir (CROWN OF THORNS, PLASMATICS): "We wrote a great song together. He's super talented, and the song is magic."

The album was produced by guitarist Gary Hoey, who also contributes guitar playing throughout, and mixed by legendary 1980s rock producer Max Norman. Ford expressed confidence in the assembled team: "I didn't want to just give it to somebody and hope for the best. I wanted a great team that's gonna support this record. And we got a great team now."

Ford compared the album's approach to classic LPs she grew up on: "I grew up on Alice Cooper's 'Welcome To My Nightmare', DEEP PURPLE 'In Rock'. These are full albums. And this is what I wanted to do." The record reportedly carries a unified theme throughout its runtime.

Label issues caused delays in recent years, but Ford indicated those problems have been resolved. The album title has not yet been announced. Ford's last record sold solidly on the strength of hard rock anthems and an unflinching rock and roll spirit — the same qualities that made her a trailblazer from her days in THE RUNAWAYS through to her acclaimed solo career in the 1980s and 1990s.
