Oakland death metal trio NECROT have signed to Metal Blade Records, one of extreme metal's most storied labels — and they are already working on their next album.
The announcement arrives 15 years into NECROT's career, during which the band has carved out a formidable reputation on the strength of three critically acclaimed full-lengths: Blood Offerings (2017), Mortal (2020), and Lifeless Birth (2023). The Metal Blade signing marks the most significant label move of their career and suggests the next chapter will reach well beyond their already substantial underground following.
The band issued a statement:
"We've been a band for 15 years making death metal the way we want to, and Metal Blade has been here for almost 45 years supporting extreme metal bands from all over the world. We feel confident that this new chapter will be great for us and we can't wait to show you what we've been working on for our next album!"
On the live front, NECROT are joining the Decibel Magazine Tour 2026 alongside Canadian tech-death legends CRYPTOPSY, Italian gore merchants FULCI, and rising grinders BLOOD MONOLITH — a 30-date trek across the US and Canada with select NECROT headline slots peppered throughout.
Death metal fans should keep a close eye on this one.
