NEVERMORE has unveiled a live performance video of "Born", shot during the band's historic debut show with its new lineup on April 1 at IF Performance Hall Beşiktaş in Istanbul, Turkey. The footage — a mix of board audio with video captured by crew and fans — offers the first proper look at the reunited band in action.
The current incarnation of NEVERMORE retains guitarist Jeff Loomis and drummer Van Williams — the duo that anchored the original lineup — while introducing three new members: vocalist Berzan Önen, guitarist Jack Cattoi, and bassist Semir Özerkan.
Speaking about how the new lineup came together, Loomis explained: "We had to audition quite a few people to make sure that we found the right people that could actually do it. We're very, very fortunate that we have Berzan Önen on vocals, Semir Özerkan on bass, and Jack Cattoi on guitar."
On the significance of finding a new singer following the passing of Warrel Dane — who died in December 2017 in São Paulo — Loomis was clear: "We weren't looking for a Warrel Dane clone. We were looking for somebody that could still sing the songs, but also had his own personal style. And that's what I believe we found."
The band has also signed with Reigning Phoenix Music and is already writing new material, with Loomis stating the band hopes to have a new single or full album ready by the first quarter of 2027. Following the Istanbul debut, NEVERMORE is currently touring South America.
