NINE INCH NOIZE — the collaborative project between NINE INCH NAILS and Berlin-based electronic producer BOYS NOIZE (Alexander Ridha) — will release its debut album, Nine Inch Nails - Nine Inch Noize, on April 17 via Interscope Records.
The project grew organically out of the "Peel It Back" world tour, where NIN incorporated a B-stage segment in the middle of the crowd featuring Boys Noize. Together they reimagined NIN songs alongside Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross score compositions and HOW TO DESTROY ANGELS material in fully electronic form. The chemistry proved undeniable, leading to a landmark performance in Coachella 2026's Sahara tent that was instantly declared one of the festival's greatest-ever sets.
The album features reworkings of nine NIN tracks including "Closer" and "As Alive As You Need Me To Be" — the Grammy-winning song from Tron: Ares. Reznor described the recording: "We recorded this album all over the place — some of it's live, some in studios, hotels, planes, etc. We had a lot of fun revisiting these songs and hope you enjoy. Listen LOUD."
Rolling Stone called the Coachella performance "a phenomenal production that feels of its time." Brooklyn Vegan described it as "a desert epic — 'Dune'-esque — with a trio core." The live configuration also features Mariqueen Maandig alongside Reznor and Ridha.
NINE INCH NAILS drew more than 700,000 fans on the sold-out "Peel It Back" tour across Europe and North America. Reznor has confirmed this is a one-off event — new NIN material is already in development for after this side project concludes.
