BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE are closing in on the finish line for their eighth studio album, targeting a January 2027 release. The Welsh heavy metal band confirmed recording details in a new interview with Blabbermouth.

Drummer Jason Bowld revealed the timeline: "I've just finished recording drums for it. And it's gonna be finished probably by June. And then we're looking to release it in January [of 2027]." The album will be preceded by five singles released on a monthly basis ahead of launch.

Frontman Matt Tuck offered a description that will excite long-time fans: "It's a cross between the last album, 'Fever' and 'The Poison'. Could it be the most definitive BULLET record yet? Possibly, yeah." Guitarist Michael "Padge" Paget added a heavy promise: "It's gonna be super heavy... We mess around with some crazy tuning on this one, something we haven't done before." The band has reportedly been experimenting with drop G tuning on several tracks.

This marks the band's first new studio material since their 2021 self-titled album — a gap of over five years. That wait, combined with Tuck's bold assessment and Paget's hints at sonic experimentation, has already generated significant anticipation.

By blending the raw breakthrough energy of 2005's The Poison — which defined a generation of British metalcore — with the polished aggression of 2010's Fever, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE appear primed to deliver a landmark record.
