CONVERGE have shared a music video for "Doom In Bloom," the lead single from "Hum Of Hurt," due June 5 via Deathwish/Epitaph. This is the band's second full-length of 2026, following "Love Is Not Enough."
Vocalist Jacob Bannon: "We realized we had created two separate albums, and treated them as such." Where the first explored emotional disconnection, "Hum Of Hurt" turns inward with a bleaker palette — lyrics examining how "middle-aged introspection doesn't always bring a brighter light."
The album takes its framework from "The Hum" — a real-world phenomenon of mysterious low-frequency sounds reported globally — reimagined as a metaphor for collective human suffering. Artwork by Bannon and Thomas Hooper merges EKG signals with seismographic imagery.
"Doom In Bloom" features Kurt Ballou's razor riffing over Nate Newton's bass and Ben Koller's relentless drums, with Bannon's vocals at shredded extremity. Produced at Ballou's God City Studio, Salem, Massachusetts. CONVERGE have operated at the forefront of extreme music since 1990.
Track listing: "Slip The Noose," "Doom In Bloom," "It Only Gets Worse," "Detonator," "I Won't Let You Go," "It's Not Up To Us," "Dream Debris," "It Used To Matter," "Hum Of Hurt," "Nothing Is Over."
