Two of glam metal's most celebrated Swedish musicians are joining forces again. ZINNY ZAN (vocals) and HARRY CODY (guitars), founding members of SHOTGUN MESSIAH, have announced ZAN/CODY and their debut album "Beautiful 'N Damned," out July 24, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl.
Produced by Chris Laney — known for his work with PRETTY MAIDS and CRAZY LIXX — the album features 10 tracks channeling the high-energy, riff-driven hard rock spirit that made SHOTGUN MESSIAH a cult name in early 1990s metal. The first single, "Damn," is already available with an accompanying music video.
"This track captures the core of who we are as musicians — high-octane rock with attitude and a sharp edge," ZAN said in the announcement. The full tracklist includes "Sever," "Ride Or Die," "She Walks With Violence," "Let's Be Heroes," "Bad Bad Man," and the title track "Beautiful 'N Damned."
ZAN and CODY will also perform at Sweden Rock Festival in support of the release — a fitting stage for two veterans of the Scandinavian hard rock circuit. SHOTGUN MESSIAH originally formed in Gothenburg in the late 1980s, relocated to Los Angeles, and released three studio albums before disbanding in 1993. This reunion marks the first time ZAN and CODY have released new music together in over three decades.
