British doom metal pioneers MY DYING BRIDE will release "Anthology Of Sombre Reflections," a deluxe 8-LP box set collecting the band's earliest and most influential work, on August 21 via Peaceville Records.

The collection gathers the 1990 "Towards The Sinister" demo, the "God Is Alone" seven-inch tracks from 1991, and the band's first four studio albums — "As The Flower Withers," "Turn Loose The Swans," "The Angel And The Dark River" and 1996's "Like Gods Of The Sun" — alongside the "The Thrash Of Naked Limbs" and "I Am The Bloody Earth" EPs. Every album has been cut from new half-speed masters at Air Studios and pressed on 180g heavyweight black vinyl for improved fidelity over the original pressings.

The box comes housed with a 48-page hardcover book featuring photography and artwork from the era, two large posters — one built from the "Turn Loose The Swans" CD artwork, the other original to "As The Flower Withers" — and a selection of period band photo prints. New interviews conducted in 2025 with guitarist Andrew Craighan and vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe are also included, with both musicians reflecting on the influences and creative decisions behind the band's formative run.

MY DYING BRIDE formed more than 35 years ago in Yorkshire and, alongside PARADISE LOST and ANATHEMA, made up the so-called "Peaceville Three" that helped define the U.K.'s doom-death sound in the early 1990s. Albums like "Turn Loose The Swans" and "The Angel And The Dark River" are widely regarded as genre landmarks, blending funeral-paced riffing, violin and Stainthorpe's mix of cleans and growls into a style that influenced a generation of gothic and doom metal bands that followed.

The band has gone on to release 14 full-length studio albums and has toured internationally, including alongside IRON MAIDEN and DIO.

"Anthology Of Sombre Reflections" is due out August 21 via Peaceville Records.
