Brutal. When I started listening to this EP, I immediately noticed the magnificent growling. It's seriously impressive here. But when I checked the booklet — to know your hero, so to speak — I was extremely shocked. These hellish vocal incantations are performed by a woman! There are only seven tracks on this disc. Three of them were recorded live at a show in Paris in 2004. So we're getting everything fresh and hot. As you listen, you realize the band was absolutely killing it on stage. It even makes you feel sorry for missing the event. While an audio format can't replace a live performance, it certainly leaves an impression of how incredible it must have been. And naturally, the remaining tracks aren't just filler. These are three covers: MANOWAR's "Kill With Power," CARCASS's "Incarnated Solvent Abuse," and MEGADETH's "Symphony Of Destruction." Everything turned out very interesting, and with Angela Gossow's voice, they go over brilliantly. Brothers Michael and Christopher Amott once again proved their mastery and virtuosity on guitar — the powerful sound won't let you sit still. And all of this combined with Daniel Erlandsson's drum parts will make any listener headbang at least once (if they've got the hair for it, of course). And finally, one more pleasant thing — there are bonus features on the disc that you can watch on a computer. And that's not all: on top of everything mentioned above, they've specially included a music video for the song "We Will Rise." In short, enjoy!
