So, DRAGONLAND's latest effort titled "Starfall." Standard power metal that will likely interest fans of this particular band but not many others. Nothing new. All the musical tricks have been done to death. All of this has already been heard from Helloween and Edguy. If the first half of the disc is still more or less listenable, the second half is absorbed in a half-asleep state. Guitar shredding, a generous amount of synthesizer, a couple of hints at progressive elements. You can tell the musicians wanted to diversify the album, but they didn't quite pull it off. Played superbly, yet still missing a lot.
