This russian band has a very unusual story. The thing is, the band's history, the members' pseudonyms, and the song titles were all invented before the musicians ever played their first rehearsal. How is that possible? Simple. HORNED NECROCANNIBALS owe their birth to a website forum where all of this was created through the imagination of a large number of metalheads.
So the foursome — Necrosaurus, Exhumator, Skull-Crusher, and Spine-Gnawer — don't play CANNIBAL CORPSE-style brutality or grindcore (as some might have assumed), but rather mid-tempo thrash/death with a thick guitar sound. The only exceptions are three songs. The track "Song #6," marked as Censored, is nothing other than a cover of the well-known children's song "I'm Lying in the Sun" from the cartoon about the Turtle and the Lion Cub, only in the HORNED NECROCANNIBALS' version it becomes "I'm Rotting in the Sun" — though only the beginning of the track breaks from the overall musical plan.
The title track "Girls, Sex and Cadaveric Poison" greets us with a cheerful death 'n' roll melody. And the album closes with a fun potpourri of various motifs from well-known hits by IRON MAIDEN, METALLICA, NIRVANA, and others, performed — according to the band members — in Antarctica before a hundred-thousand-strong crowd of penguins.
