Yes, it's them!!! The foremost perverts, vicious tricksters, masters of handcuffs and nunchucks who prefer Adam's prestigious tuxedo over any other attire. And "Nihil" is the offspring of the band's transitional period, when terrorist Taneli Jarva took offense and slammed the door on his way out, with none other than Alexi Laiho of Children of Bodom taking his place. Comparing "Nihil" with its predecessor, "Rapture," one can see how the band suddenly caught a case of melodicism (bravo, Alexi!!!), which naturally benefited the "warriors of karmageddon": the compositions became more varied, more dynamic, and in places even — forgive the vulgarity! — more lyrical. And though the cover once again features a gas mask placed over the private parts of some ambiguously gendered figure, the proud Finns entered the new millennium no longer as a gang of dim-witted imbeciles, but as ambitious musicians and provocative showmakers. The "Nihil" booklet is unpretentious and simple, very much in line with the musical content. At any rate, even a mediocre English student won't need a dictionary to understand Luttinen's lyrics. And to sum it all up, one cannot help but recall those famous words echoing through eternity: "Everything genius is simple."
