INEXIST is an excellent russian band. The guys play melodic death in the vein of IN FLAMES circa "Colony" and "Clayman" — screamed vocals, numerous beautiful passages. The solos are simply superb — captivating in their melodicism and precision of execution. The riffs are also reminiscent of IN FLAMES. The compositions themselves are well thought out and varied; acoustic guitar can frequently be heard. The biggest drawback, in my opinion, is the less-than-ideal album sound. The rhythm guitars are barely audible, lacking the heaviness of death metal. But despite this, the work is strong, and I recommend it to all fans of the Swedish school of melodic death metal.
