Until recently, the words "Bulgaria" and "metal" were associated with only two names — NIGHTSKY BEQUEST and KOROZY. But in reality, the metal scene there is quite well-developed (mainly the extreme side, admittedly). In this case, INSPELL is a rather intriguing proposition. It is, of course, symphonic black metal, but clearly with its own identity. The compositions are richly arranged, containing numerous textural elements. The overall sonic palette creates a conceptual, cohesive picture. The music is quite elaborate, yet this doesn't hinder the album from being a captivating listen from start to finish. The only "but" here is the programmed drums. However, one can choose to overlook that if they wish.
