Before us is the second album by NEVID', replacing the lengthy title "The Call of New Hyperborea" with a short and simple one: "Yarga." Since the recording of the band's first release, there have been minor lineup changes — in particular, the group now has one guitarist, and the keyboardist has been replaced.

Now about what we hear on this record. Of the 14 tracks, four simply feature poetry recitation over nature-stylized sounds. On several compositions, the leading role belongs to the band's vocalist Ksenia, with the main parts performed in clean vocals. As for the expected pagan metal — it hasn't been forgotten either, with particular attention deserved by the songs "Winged Ones," "First Among Equals," and by many measures the strongest song on the album, the one that gave it its name — "Yarga." We hear it among the closing tracks of the disc. It's followed, however, by a brilliant instrumental track that this time shares the band's own name — simply called "Nevid'." Lyrics would only have harmed such a track, since the proper atmosphere is created in abundance through the music alone. And one must mention the final track. The lyrics to "I Won't Deceive Myself" were written not by Les'yar, as with all the other songs on the album, but by Sergei Yesenin. In the band's interpretation, the listener encounters a loud and rowdy reveler, and musically the song features elements of punk rock.

Now about the disc itself — besides the album, there are quite a few surprises here for fans of Les'yar's work and NEVID'. First and foremost, over a hundred photographs taken during various trips (including concert tours), as well as shots documenting the recording process of the new album, promotional photos, and so on. Additionally, the full version of Les'yar's poetry collection "I See What Others Don't" — released in print in April 2006 — is included in PDF format. And for dessert, a 10-minute compilation of video clips from various moments in the band's life, with not a hint of pretense.
