Well, what can you say — this is music for a specific taste. Not everyone will understand or appreciate the multitude of jazz tricks, the total chaos, the madness, and the hysterically screaming vocals. Five minutes of "Psychofagist" is enough to smash your brain to pieces. Then strange things start happening to you: you catch yourself wanting to grab something heavy and demolish the room, the house, the whole world. Moreover, various suicidal thoughts start creeping into your head.
But one must acknowledge that the music created by the Italians PSYCHOFAGIST, in the style of devastating technical-avant-grind, is high-quality and quite interesting. The Italian label Subordinate Productions helped bring "Psychofagist" to light.
The record's duration is modest. What awaits you is about half an hour (12 tracks) of savage energy. And the booklet design helps convey what's inside. The cover depicts a man tied to a chair in an abandoned building. His head is blurred, his face frozen in an agonizing scream.
If you have a healthy and strong psyche and are not inclined to step out of an open window, you can safely proceed to listen to "Psychofagist."
