British sextet RAGING SPEEDHORN is rightfully considered the leader among their countrymen in the nu-metal category. Lacing the depths of grunge sound with an almost death metal brutality, the musicians produce a truly explosive cocktail that not everyone can handle. There are noisy passages here (the kind that occasionally appeared on SLIPKNOT's "Iowa"), as well as detached romantic melodies in the spirit of LIMP BIZKIT's most lyrical tracks (no wonder, since "How The Great Have Fallen" was produced by none other than Joe Barresi, who in his line of work had managed to work with the "Bizkits," QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, and even MONSTER MAGNET). Frontman Frank Regan, who left the band after the album was recorded, together with second vocalist John Loughlin, roar no quieter than the horn of a massive truck, as if playing on the band's "loud" name. Throughout the disc one can recall SEPULTURA of the "Roorback" era, as well as AMEN — the band of punk-blackster Casey Chaos. The last track, "Don't Let The Bastards Grind You Down," contains a hidden track — a verbal mockery of true-and-evil satanic black metal. Thus, if you are not bothered by derivatives of the f-word scattered in random order, disharmonious riffs on seven-strings, and the bestial fury of hungry males — come one, come all. Slay the Coward!
