Greetings, ear-masochists! What else would you call those who revel in music like this? These Australians have been cranking out brutal fare since 1986, and in 2002 they unleashed "FUKK." The "sadists" play brutal death/grind, flirting with black metal in places. It must be said that their instrumental proficiency is solid, and despite the carnage spewing from the red-hot player, you can hear not just mindless monotonous bludgeoning in these songs but also competent guitar riffs and even solos! The vocalist abuses his vocal cords every way he can. At times it sounds like he's growling with his head shoved into a toilet bowl -- and in those situations, water inevitably gets into his throat, giving him a nice gargle.
Overall, these guys could probably use a visit to a psychiatrist, though they may already be registered at the local asylum. Doubt it? Check out the photos in the booklet: a fire axe, slashed arms, and the band's bassist, having apparently read too many fairy tales (remember, "...and a star shines upon his brow"?), hammered a pentagram into his skull.
