The SAVAGE CIRCUS single consists of two songs and precedes the release of the band's debut album "Dreamland Manor." First of all, it's worth explaining how this project came together, and the story begins from afar. On April 3, 2005, an announcement appeared on the BLIND GUARDIAN website that many refused to believe — it unambiguously stated that drummer Thomen Stauch was leaving the band. The reason was disagreements within the group, although it was noted that everything happened amicably and by mutual decision. But while still in the ranks of the "blind guardians," Thomen decided to launch his own project, for which he teamed up with his longtime friend Piet Sielck (vocalist and guitarist of IRON SAVIOR) — the songs for the new project belong to them. Sielck proposed enlisting musicians from the young Norwegian heavy project PERSUADER, Emil Norberg and Jens Carlsson. In this lineup, Thomen naturally took on the drum parts, Piet Sielck recorded rhythm guitar and bass for the album, Emil Norberg handled the solos, and Jens became the frontman of the fierce "circus performers."

So, as mentioned above, the single (or, more accurately, demo) contains two songs — "Evil Eyes" and "Ghost Story." Both are seven minutes long. The first will open the album "Dreamland Manor," while the second will be placed closer to the end. Genre-wise, these compositions are typical speed-power metal. Fast yet melodic, they are in many ways reminiscent of BLIND GUARDIAN from the "Tales From The Twilight World" era, early '90s GAMMA RAY, and Sielck's main band IRON SAVIOR, yet they cannot be called plagiarism. Today many bands copy each other while having problems with their playing — here the technical side is top-notch. Thus, the impressions from the single are most pleasant. This is truly a significant event on the power metal scene.
