Wake up progmetal fans! Pull out CDs of DREAM THEATRE or SHADOW GALLERY from your players! This year fivesome from Quebec province of Canada will release their second album. I've decided, that this will be great to tell you about the debut album of this great band! So, let's begin with what we see, when take CD from pack - with cover picture. You will not see artwork in fantasy or futurism style, usual for this style of music. It's happy and sad at the same time. In the front of battle scene is dacing a boy, juggling the grenades, painted in all colours of rainbow and barbed wire rings. Real Dancing With Death.
Now, what about music...
When I put disk in my CD-ROM I was a little confused, intro "The Brain Dance" I'd better titled as "Morning In Crazyhouse" - mixture of mad voices and laughings. "Walls Of Society", thursty song with an aggression in the best traditions of progmetal call to destroy the walls of box, in which our brain was putting by goverment, school and other institutions, to free our imagination. Next composition presents us a good atmospheric and symphonic peace. And its title is so heavenly - "Stratosphere". "Broken Dreams", the shortest one is great ballad - farewell with darling friend. After romantic "Broken Dreams" we hear rocking "On The Hill" with finest guitar solos by Fabrice Blanchet. Great epic "Glase Maakerstraat" will take your mind far away. Listen and enjoy! Last Composition "Images Of War", which consits of two parts ("Thunder Of Ashland" and "Silent Witness"), shows real face of war. War isn't opposition of different ideologies, religies, that's only on the surface, that's only what we see. War is business and soldiers are clerks. Actual problem, isn't it? As musical background serve sounds of shooting and explosions.
Resume: Get this CD now or you will late! Wait for new work this year!
