More Hate Productions decided to broaden their horizons and not limit themselves to domestic bands. This time around, it's a crew from Germany called... SMIRNOFF!? Yes, apparently they were heavily influenced by the USSR's prolonged dictation of terms in East Germany, or perhaps the musicians are die-hard fans of a certain famous vodka with a "similar" name. Anyway, let's turn our attention to the disc. The booklet is designed entirely in black, grey, white, and green tones, featuring people in hazmat suits and gas masks carrying automatic weapons, plus song lyrics and band photos. Now, closer to the music. The guys attempted to impress us with death/grind, which, honestly, didn't quite work out (in terms of truly impressing, that is). Interesting intro... Someone is drilling and sawing someone else on an operating table, resulting in the subject's death. From there, it's all standard fare — 15 tracks with, in principle, almost nothing particularly memorable (though the vocalist's decent growling was a pleasant surprise). I said "almost" because when I heard the beginning of track 5, I nearly fell off my chair... What you can hear there is a 10-second speech by none other than (who would have thought) comrade LENIN! Who exactly were they trying to surprise? But overall, that's their business.
