Silhouettes of hardened substance enter the pulsating with silver portals Where are They going?

Where shall we go?

What's left from Without?

Where are we?

To Evolution?!, to Evolution?!

If you seek silence and peace, joy and life's harmony, then the inevitable accompaniment to such an idyll would, of course, be the appropriate music. If you need spiritual equilibrium and orderly thought, you turn once again to pleasant, relaxing music. And if the aforementioned things are dear to you, then run -- run without looking back, run with all your might, so as not to hear a single chord sounding on this disc, for this is Darkness and Chaos delivered straight from Sochi.

"To Evolution?!" is already the third album I've encountered from this mind-blowing band. An even harsher and more aggressive work compared to the older "Spherical" and "Solar Nebula." If you were inspired by the atmospheric Nordic sound of the first album, if you were drawn by the mysteriousness of the "Solar Mist" as the image of the second album, then you'll have to forget all of that, because there are no more forests or mists -- there is no more nature at all! In its place stands a newly built world -- a world of industrial and disorder, a world where there is no more peace or sense of the primordial, a world ruled by Absurdity and Hatred.

What especially shaped this image is the extremely unconventional, at times even unhinged, lyrics of this album. This is something greater than a stream of consciousness. It is a chaotic stream of thought -- thought as the primary carrier of the idea of existential hopelessness. There is neither logic nor order in it, yet at times it seems there is a higher idea -- an idea as the source of striving toward higher matters unknowable to the human mind. At times one gets the impression that the lyricist's sanity has been utterly destroyed, that only emptiness dwells within...

Such is the overall concept of the trans-galactic modern (and at times even noise) black metal performed by Therm.Eye.Flame.

If you are tolerant of the idea laid out above, if the monotony of your days "transforms depression into indifference," if "the tablets of your memory are warped by the vacuum of your own gaze," then you have lost much by not hearing this album.
