The English progressive metallers have finally released their new opus Dead Reckoning — take note.
Despite the seeming simplicity of the material at first glance, it rewards us with variety and richness. The album is emotionally uplifting and contains a generous amount of beautiful melodies, dynamic heavy riffing, progressive solos, electronic effects and samples, plus as a bonus, guest participation from Dan Swanö on vocals — he delivers some delicious growls on two tracks.
The only thing I didn't like was the not overly emotional and expressive vocals. Although I emphasize — that is my subjective opinion.
Overall, the album is good and won't leave fans of progressive metal indifferent, while others may well choose to skip Dead Reckoning.
