The American outfit TRIVIUM came along to throw a wrench into one of the greatest brands in metal — Florida death metal. Yes, these guys are from Florida, but they decided to set themselves apart from their elder peers by playing not death metal, but... well, a trendy blend of Swedish-flavored thrash/death with its characteristic melodicism, topped off with some nu-metal elements (they are from the US, after all). The trademark dual vocal approach of growler and clean singer is present, though the former is more prominent and not of the highest quality. One piece of advice for the guys: move out of Florida.
