WAYLANDER's strange creation titled "The Light The Dark And The Endless Knot" was released on CD-Maximum. The cover art is bright, which draws attention, but that's about all it does. The music is monotonous and boring, with nothing original to offer. The songs sound alike, and the guitar riffs are banal. As for the vocals -- I'd rather not even go there. When the vocalist uses growling, he's still listenable, but when he switches to clean singing, it becomes an assault on the listener! The keyboards somewhat salvage the situation -- they're actually quite pleasant to listen to on their own, if you strip away everything else. There's an obvious attempt to emulate early FALKENBACH. Spare your ears.
