Swedish post-metal institution CULT OF LUNA have announced their tenth studio album, "In The Shadow Of Your Shadow," due November 6, 2026 via RED CRK. The sprawling, 71-minute record arrives alongside its towering title track, released with an accompanying video.

The album threads two notable guest appearances through its nine songs: GOJIRA frontman Joe Duplantier lends his voice to "Sadness Will Reign," while David Eugene Edwards of 16 HORSEPOWER and WOVENHAND appears on "One More Day." The full tracklist runs "In The Shadow Of Your Shadow," "Sadness Will Reign," "Landby," "Breach," "The Rift," "A Way Back," "One More Day," "From Grey To Black" and "Burial."

Frontman and guitarist Johannes Persson framed the album as a confrontation with "the traitor within" — buried trauma resurfacing after long silence. "Stagnation is the only thing that scares me… we will continue to do this," he said, adding that "everything that you've gone through leads you to where you are right now."

The record was co-produced with Daniel Berglund and mixed by Magnus Lindberg, the band's longtime studio anchor. CULT OF LUNA have already been roadtesting new material live, with appearances locked in at the ArcTanGent and Damnation festivals.

Since forming in Umeå in 1998, CULT OF LUNA have become one of the most influential names in atmospheric, long-form heavy music, building cathedral-sized songs out of crushing riffs, slow-burning dynamics and cinematic texture. "In The Shadow Of Your Shadow" follows a run of acclaimed records that cemented their reputation as masters of tension and release, and at well over an hour it promises to be one of their most ambitious statements yet.
