American melodic death metal mainstays THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER have announced a 2027 European tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their landmark third album, "Nocturnal." Dubbed "Two Decades Of Nocturnal," the trek runs from January 14 through February 14, 2027, and will feature a set drawing heavily on the 2007 classic alongside fan favorites from across the band's catalog.
"Super excited to announce this celebration of 'Nocturnal''s 20th anniversary, which we will present across Europe this winter," said vocalist Brian Eschbach. "The set will feature a great deal of material off the band's third release. Can't wait to see y'all again."
Released on September 18, 2007 via Metal Blade Records, "Nocturnal" was a breakthrough for the Michigan band, debuting at No. 72 on the Billboard 200 and helping earn them Metal Hammer's Golden Gods Award for Best Underground Band. Two decades on, it is widely regarded as a defining statement of modern American melodic death metal.
The band continues as a tribute to its enduring legacy following the 2022 passing of founding vocalist Trevor Strnad, with longtime guitarist Brian Eschbach having stepped up to the microphone. The current lineup is rounded out by guitarists Ryan Knight and Wes Hauch, bassist Max Lavelle and drummer Alan Cassidy.
