It seems FONO have set out to reissue the entire golden catalog of Lonely Planet. The situation is debatable — on one hand, having all these albums on license is not bad at all, but on the other, everyone has heard them ages ago... In any case, the DEATH debut still deserves our attention as a cornerstone record in — you know which style. Dark, raw, crushing, somehow evoking associations with "Melissa" by MERCYFUL FATE. Tentative attempts at growling... For its time, "Scream Bloody Gore" was a revelation. For us — in the year MMIV — it is a magnificent beginning to a story that ended so tragically.
