More than a decade after their last release, nu-metal veterans ADEMA are preparing to return. The band have signed with Worldwide Entertainment Group and are completing Cruel Machine, their fifth studio album, set for release via Cleopatra Records in 2026.
The current lineup — Tim Fluckey (vocals, guitar), Mike Ransom (lead guitar), Dave DeRoo (bass), and Kris Kohls (drums) — has enlisted acclaimed mix engineer David Gnozzi (of the popular MixbusTV YouTube channel) to handle mixing duties. Fluckey, who stepped into the frontman role out of necessity during a 2019 tour, describes the new material as authentic to the band's identity: "This new stuff, it sounds like ADEMA. It's the original band."
WEG president Dave Lory echoed that sentiment: "It's all about a new chapter for ADEMA. We are very excited."
To support the album, the band have already scheduled tour dates: U.S. dates alongside POWERMAN 5000, and U.K. shows with SOIL and FINGER ELEVEN. For longtime fans, it's a welcome sign that ADEMA are serious about this comeback.
The band's last official studio output was the Topple The Giants EP in 2013. Original vocalist Marky Chavez departed in 2004, and guitarist Ryan Shuck left as recently as February 2024 — but the remaining members are pushing forward. Cruel Machine promises to reignite interest in one of nu-metal's more underrated acts.
