The Athens show made headlines across the metal world when the band performed "Infinite Dreams" — a track from the 1988 masterpiece "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son" — for the first time in concert since 1988, a gap of 38 years. Before the song, vocalist Bruce Dickinson told the crowd with his trademark wit: "It will be when you go to bed tonight — your 'Infinite Dreams.'" The crowd's reaction was thunderous.
Drummer Simon Dawson, who joined MAIDEN after the retirement of legendary sticksman Nicko McBrain — whose final show was in December 2024 — delivered an assured and powerful performance in his first major stadium-level appearance with the band.
