Polish atmospheric metal collective BLINDEAD 23 have released a music video for "You Are The Universe," a track from their album "Deuterium," out now via Peaceville Records.

Formerly known simply as BLINDEAD, the band returns with a heavyweight lineup. Vocalist Patryk Zwolinski is joined by guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Mateusz "Havoc" Smierzchalski (ex-BEHEMOTH), Roger Ojersson (ex-KATATONIA) on guitars, keys and vocals, and drummer Pawel Jaroszewicz (VLTIMAS, ex-VADER, ex-DECAPITATED). Additional studio contributions came from Maciej Janas (guitars, piano, backing vocals), Vinicius Nunes (bass) and Stephane Azam (synths).

"The album's final chapter is about letting go of control and finding clarity within chaos," the band said of the song. "It is a descent into the self that ultimately reveals a profound truth."

"Deuterium" was recorded and produced by David Castillo at Studio Grondahl in Stockholm back in spring 2023, with mixing and mastering handled by Kuba Mankowski. The long gestation has yielded a dense, brooding record that fuses post-metal atmosphere with the death-metal pedigree of its players.

BLINDEAD originally emerged from Gdansk in 2004, earning a cult reputation in the Polish underground for cinematic, emotionally crushing post-metal. The addition of "23" to the name signals a deliberate reset — a new era built around an expanded, international cast of musicians.

Released via the long-running British label Peaceville Records — home to genre cornerstones such as MY DYING BRIDE and DARKTHRONE — "Deuterium" marks an ambitious return for a band whose roots stretch back to the early 2000s underground.
