Footage has surfaced of heavy metal supergroup DOWN's June 5 performance at the Mystic Festival in Gdańsk, Poland, giving fans who missed the set a chance to relive one of the festival's heavier moments. The video, uploaded by the MrTime2Travel YouTube channel, captures the New Orleans institution in full flight before a Polish crowd.

DOWN bring together a formidable cast of musicians from across the Southern and sludge metal worlds: vocalist Philip H. Anselmo (PANTERA, SUPERJOINT), guitarists Pepper Keenan (CORROSION OF CONFORMITY) and Kirk Windstein (CROWBAR), drummer Jimmy Bower (EYEHATEGOD) and bassist Pat Bruders. Since forming in the early 1990s, the band has become a touchstone for fans of riff-driven, blues-soaked doom and sludge.

The Mystic Festival appearance is part of a busy 2026 for the group. This summer, DOWN will return to North American stages for a two-week headlining run dubbed the "Strap It Down" tour, with support from HELMET and SPIRIT IN THE ROOM. The trek begins August 15 in Atlanta, Georgia and wraps September 4 in Shakopee, Minnesota, where the band will appear as direct support to SLAYER.

Along the way, DOWN will also play Zakk Wylde's "Berzerkus" festival alongside LAMB OF GOD, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and others, with stops on August 28 in Scranton, Pennsylvania and August 29 in Wantagh, New York. The packed itinerary underlines the band's enduring pull more than three decades into their career, even as its members remain busy with their many other projects.

DOWN have also kept new music trickling out: their cover of Dr. John's "Right Place, Wrong Time," initially released in video form to celebrate Mardi Gras earlier this year, is now available across streaming platforms. While a full new studio album remains on the horizon, the band's relentless festival presence — from Gdańsk to North America — confirms that DOWN remain one of metal's most reliable live forces. The Mystic Festival video is streaming now on YouTube.
